Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association

The annual Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA) meeting was held this year in Miami Beach, Florida. The annual meeting is devoted to exchange ideas, research and enthusiasm amongst peers in relation to disorders of the Liver, Pancreas, and Biliary tract. Dr. Alexander Rosemurgy attended the national meeting along with one of our current Surgical Fellows in training, Dr. Forat Swaid. Dr. Rosemurgy participated in the debate on if “Nasogastric Tubes Should be Used After Elective HPB Surgery”. Dr. Rosemurgy was an Invited Discussant on the Oral Presentation “Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy Versus Chemoradiotherapy for Resectable Pancreatic Head Adenocarcinoma: A Propensity Score Matched Analysis”. Lastly, Dr. Rosemurgy gave an Invited Presentation titled “Is Targeted Intra-Arterial Delivery of Gemcitabine Safe and Effective in Treatment of Patients with Loco-Regional Pancreatic Tumors?” Dr. Rosemurgy presented in front of a packed house, as more than 500 people attended his Invited Presentation.
